Extend the counting sequence.
MCC1.NBT.1 Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write
numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.
Represent and interpret data.
MCC1.MD.4 Organize, represent, and interpret data with up to three categories; ask and answer
questions about the total number of data points, how many in each category, and
how many more or less are in one category than in another.
What your child shoud be able to do.....
Your child should be able to count on starting at any number less 100 and continue to 120.
Your child should be able to read, write, and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.
Your child should be able to compare quantities using matching and words.
Your child should be able to recognize and understand patterns on a 99 chart (tens and ones).
Your child should be able to understand that a number line can represent the order of numbers.
Your child should be able to understand problems can be solved in different ways.
Your child should be able to understand important information can be found in representations of data such as tallies, tables, and charts.
Your child should be able to use and create tables and charts to make solving problems easier.
Your child should be able to understnad how questions can be answered by collecting and interpreting data.
